Port of Southampton

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Southampton, Hampshire, England, UK)

Southampton's port is the UK's principal port on the south coast of England. Associated British Ports owns and operates the port. It can be found at the top of the Solent on Southampton Water and offers excellent amenities for all commercial routes.

The port of Southampton has two terminals. Terminal 1 serves as the passenger and car terminal while Terminal 2 operates the hi-speed ferry services.

Red Funnel operates the services from both terminals.

The Red Funnel vessels provide facilities for those with disabilities and elderly passengers. If further assistance is required, passengers should notify the company when booking the reservation.

As one of the busiest and largest cities on the South coast of England, Southampton has a long seafaring tradition and plenty of historic interest.

Accommodation is plentiful and the city offers an excellent infrastructure, which includes good shopping, tourist attractions and leisure services. It is also well placed for enjoying several highlights of this stretch of coast and hinterland, including the New Forest and a number of quaint seaside towns. Regular Isle of Wight ferries run to Cowes and carry both cars and passengers, while faster passenger-only hydrofoils are also available.
